Jeremy Rodriguez, 28, will manage the Raptors in 2018, which will be his second season in the Dodgers organization. He managed the single-A Great Lakes Loons in 2017.
Mark Kertenian, Ogden’s manager last season, will manage the Arizona League rookie-level team. He’ll be joined by former Raptors pitcher Jairo Pacheco on the bench. Pedro Guerrero, another Raptors assistant, left the Dodgers organization to coach with Gabe Kapler and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Rodriguez played minor league baseball from 2011-15 after being drafted in the 16th round by the San Diego Padres. As a catcher, Rodriguez rose as high as double-A and hit .235 over five seasons.
He played college baseball at Cal State Bakersfield and previously managed San Diego’s Dominican Summer League team.
Ogden’s hitting and pitching coaches are both new to the Dodgers. Dustin Kelly will coach Raptors hitters after three years as an assistant coach at Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo). He played three minor league seasons in the Boston Red Sox organization.
Dean Stiles will coach Ogden pitchers. He’s coached in college stops at Florida International, San Jose State and Oregon.
John Shoemaker, Ogden’s manager in 2015, enters his 42nd year with the Dodgers. He’s been assigned to manage Great Lakes.
Ogden's 2018 season is slated to begin June 15 in Idaho Falls.
